I like this game a lot! It is a shame it is so short but since there are other ones in the series I do not think thats too bad. But if it would have been a bit longer it would have gotten easily 5 stars.
There is only one thing I did not really like and that was the music you hear, its a loop and its always the same and its not really nice to listen too... But overall it is a very good game! Good job!

Things I thought wile playing the game

I wrote some points down while playing this game which may be of use to the maker of the game. But first let me say in short what I thought about it in general. Its a very nice game and I made it to level 9, I am sure if I keep on playing it I eventually will finish the game but because of the fact that I always need to restart from the beginning and kill all those easier getting enemies. I probably shall try again later on this day to beat the game, but for now I had enough.
I shall now share the the things I wrote down while playing the game:

- For all the people who have problems after they fight the girl; counting helps ;)

- skipping the oncoming from the next character by pressing "space" after you won the fight is a good idea; it makes the game go faster and more fun to play because of the fact that you always need to restart when you die.

-The gameplay is rather simple but it is fun to do. Maybe you can try to creat a full gamewith all these characters and different moves, a real fighting game like street fighter for instance, I am sure it would be a hit, surely with these characters and the moves I allready have seen.

-nice thinking on the different moves of each character. All original and never the same

- the fault system is good, a real good thing about it is that it drops to zero after every fight it makes the fights a bit easier. But if you are going for easy you should give the gamers the chance to restart at the character which killed them.

- Is there a reason why you can not restart at the same character? It would be a lot easier to complete the game. Maybe you can make a easy and a hard grade; the easy one enables you to start after death at the character who killed you, the faults go away after each fight (like they do now) , the hard one means that when you are death you need to restart from the beginning and the faults never go away untill you are death and need to restart or untill you have three faults offcource and need to restart.

-nice graphics, a lot of detail in the scene and background, also a lot of detail in all characters. The characters really look good and I think they all should fit into a fight game. It is a shame that you can not choose them in multiplayer. It would give the game a longer length of playing, but thats my opinion.

-nice details like the burning lamp on enemy 2 and the aiming system on Mecha

--Sound is also nice and sound effects are good.

Overall: Its a really good game with good graphics and cool moves.

thoughts I had while playing this game

This is a very very good game, I liked it a lot. I wrote some points down while playing the game and I will share them in an instant, but first I will say what I thought about it. Like I said, a very very good game and original thinking. The style is also very good and I simply really enjoyed playing it. It did not take to long to finish it and thats a good thing: maybe you can make more games of this character with the same lenght of time and call it a serie? I really like the idea and I believe you should go on with this project.
I will now share the points I was thinking of while playing the game.

-This game proofs that you do not need blood and cursing words to make a game good.if you are one of those who need those things you are not a gamer but simply someone who loves violence.

-The graphics are very nice but small. I understand that this is necessary if you want to show the whole level at once but maybe it is better to divide that level in different "floors" which will scroll up like you allready do. If you do this more often you can make everything bigger and better viewable. For instance: in the first level I accidently made the first obstacle go away (if you know what I mean, I do not want to use spoilers) if you make it bigger you can make it clearer in some cases what to do.

-Sound effects are nice but background music would be a nice thing to have.
-I am playing the second level and I need to say this right now: this is a very clever game and I have seen allready nice thinking.

-Playing 3rd level and I need to say this: Do not change the formula of this game into a bloody maniacal one. It would lose its charme. You did a really good job creating this. it is always easy to win people over with sex, violence... but you won me over with this. thats a good thing.

-clever puzzles but I do not understand the box thing in the 3rd level. I know one part of the solution (I think) but for the second part I need to try all combinations. The second part is not that clear, not for me and not for some of the other gamers.

-Nice helicopter boss fight but a to short(easy). I like the change from land to water and its effects on the character (drowning)

-The fact that I am writing while I am playing is a good thing in the level with the doors ;) nice thinking there.

-The robot boss is nice but once again like the heli-boss to short(easy) Maybe you can give more challenge to them by needing to do multiple things in some kind of order to defeat them. After all it is a boss. I honestly need to say that it took more time for me to figure out what I needed to do at the start of the game, searching for the solution for the box thingy in the level where you need to 'catch your ride" if you know what I mean, then to defeat the bosses. It should be the other way around but thats my opinion.

Points I thought about while playing the game.

but now my review:
First of all: this is a nice game, very addicting but it still could be better. I wrote some points down while playing the game which may be of some use to the maker. I did not finish the game, which I find a shame, but somehow I did not feel like completing it. I nearly ended it but everytime I died the game restarts from the beginning which made me quit after several times of retrying. this is a real shame cause it actually is a nice game.
-music is great, sound effects are good.
-idea is good: not flying in a spaceship but controlling a falling human is a nice spin to the genre.
-clean interface: nice idea to show at the right of the screen how far you still need to go to finish the level but since you really need to keep on looking at your character I rarely used it. Maybe better of dividing the fall in chapters . If you do that you can come to a point where only the character if falling without any obstacles and while that happens just let a chapter 2, chapter 3... message roll over the screen. Be sure to tell the gamers how many chapters there are in one level. Also whe you do this, you can simply let the gamer restart at each chapter when he is dead instead of the beginning. I know it is good to always start over so you can practice, but maybe a option to choose to start from that chapter or the beginning would not be a bad idea.
-the pigeon is a great idea and looks funny. maybe you can give the fallen character less damage when he hits a rock while he has a pigeon since he is fallen with a slower speed? More realistic?
-could use some more information about the different colors of rocks. why are they different then other rocks? Is this good or bad? If it is good you should tell the gamers why, I think it is bad since it still is a rock, thats why I avoid them. But I do not know how much worser it is when you hit them because I avoid them. Can sound stupid but if you know how bad they are you will do more effort to avoid them. Colors are nice, a legend which explain those colors would even be nicer.
- Please correct me if I am wrong but is it possible that a small rock give as much damage as a big one? If you would change the damage people would do more effort to avoid the big ones which ones again results in a different gameplay can be more exciting.
-Please correct me if I am wrong but is it possible that when you take a green "power up" you get the same amount of points when breaking a big or small rock? If you put a little change in this it will result in another gameplay which can be more exciting
- the variatons like pigeons and green gems are nice, but maybe you can use a sound which will tell you when its effect will end, like a beeping kind of tone which gets faster instead of a flashing character. Many times I kept on hitting rocks after picking up a green gem and I damaged my character cause it was not active anymore. remember that people look at the rocks to, not always at your character.

These are the things that came to my mind that could use some improvement and/or clarification. But overall it is a very good game, it only could even be better then very good.

great review man! thanks! you really covered a ot in detail. i'll start off by saying that as this is a minigame there are some things we are limited in.

for example, we cant do the game in chapters. while it would be nice and more convenient to be able to come back and continue where you left off, as the entire purpose of the game is a highscore system it makes the game totally unfair grounds and there are people that use anything like that to their advantage to rip the system. another thing for instance is that we have to make one difficulty mode which will be very hard to most players but still possible. otherwise it would again, mess up the score system.

to your credit you had some good input, things like outlining in more detail what items do and stuff. i'm pretty sure smaller rocks do smaller damage though.

Back to the old days.

I remember this game from a few years ago when I discoverd this game. At that time I didnt really own a computer yet, so my visits where random and acountless. I do own a computer now for years already, but I thought I was escaped from Newgrounds. Nothing seemd so unreal like that thought. So just going true the site for today, last day possible till saterday cause going on a trîp as a games & sports animator, and I come across this. It reminded me back at those days, I played it then and loved it like hell. Nice concept and nice ripping up from the body's, maybe more bad guys in trees. U should go further with this project cause I think u could do something with it when worked out properly.

Its a nice game but do u really only use the 2 arrow keys, I saw a boc with the keys c and $ I thought it was jump & attack but it did nothing, I was more busy changing my computer azert to qwerty and it seemed that even when I wasnt playing the game I was collecting more cash, avoiding the things he throws, I even lost the sheriff, he was right behind me coming up, going back, coming up, going back, getting something on his head and away he was. In the meantime I was changing my keyboard configuration but when I started to hear multiple money sounds I needed to go check out what was happening. So I gues thats a big mistake for a game. But I like the concept, if worked properly it could be higly addictive. But this is more a preview from a test version of better things to come I like to think.

Good game.

Its a nice game in all its ways, keeping it arcade with the graphical style but bringing a whole leveling up system. A great combination for an addective game.
